Herb & Hound Co. Limited – Shipping Policy

Herb & Hound Co. is committed to getting your order to you quickly, safely, and with the lightest possible paw-print on the planet. All orders ship from our Auckland warehouse.


1. Where we ship

  • New Zealand only (urban & rural).

  • We’re working on trans-Tasman and international options — watch this space!

3. Shipping options & rates (NZD)

**Add 1–2 days for South Island, Waiheke, or peak periods (e.g., Christmas).

All parcels are carbon-neutral via NZ Post’s Go Carbon Neutral programme and packed in recyclable or compostable materials.


4. Order tracking

A tracking link is emailed the moment your parcel is scanned by the courier. If it hasn’t appeared after 24 hours, check your spam folder, then contact us.


5. Delivery issues

Lost or delayed parcels

  • If your parcel shows no movement for 3+ business days, email info@herbnhoundco.nz with your order number.

  • We’ll open an investigation and keep you posted. Where a parcel is confirmed lost, we’ll reship or refund at your choice.

Damaged parcels

  • Photograph the outer packaging and products — then see our Returns & Refund Policy for next steps.


6. Address accuracy & PO Boxes

  • Please double-check your address, including unit and rural details (RD number).

  • We can ship to PO Boxes and Private Bags via NZ Post only (no signature on delivery).


7. Authority to leave (ATL)

If you select ATL at checkout, the courier may leave the parcel unattended. Herb & Hound Co. is not liable for theft or weather damage once the parcel is delivered per ATL instructions.


8. Heat-sensitive products

During peak summer (Dec–Feb) we include insulation sleeves where required. We may hold orders for dispatch on cooler days to protect product integrity; we’ll notify you if this affects your delivery timeframe.


9. Public holidays & force majeure

Couriers don’t collect or deliver on NZ public holidays. Severe weather, natural disasters, or pandemic restrictions may extend delivery times; we’ll update the banner on our website if widespread delays occur.
